On Friday, May 11th, the Central Penn Business Journal hosted the 3rd Annual Women of Influence event at the Hilton Harrisburg recognizing 25 amazing women – and Tammy was one of them!

Tammy and Geoff with Tammy’s Award

Upon being named a recipient, we ran a blog with some of the answers Tammy provided on her nomination form. The answers were well-received by our readership, so I thought we would share a few more!

Here they are:

What is something you are totally passionate about and why?

I am most passionate about being a contributing member of society whether it’s through business, serving on a non-profit board or volunteering for a charitable organization. I love giving back and being involved in the community, and I want to make a positive impact on the world around me.

If you could go anywhere in the world where would it be?

I would love to travel to every State in our Great Nation! We are a diverse country with diverse people!

What is one piece of advice that you would like to pass on to others?

To quote James Frey, “Be strong. Live honorably and with dignity. When you don’t think you can, hold on.”

What’s the best piece of advice you have received? From whom? And why?

“Eat Dessert First” is a simple phrase, and the motto of one of my closest friends. It reminds me to enjoy each day – each moment – by putting the best things in life, first.

Your Turn: What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
